Laura Williams, LCP

Hello! My name is Laura D. Williams, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have worked in public service for eleven years, community mental health for five years, and now I am in private practice. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and I can provide Child & Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), a preventative program through the Family First initiative, working with ages 0-5. I provide individual, couples, and family therapies to all ages.

My clients come from all backgrounds to seek help with anxiety, depression, trauma, simple- and complex- PTSD, struggling identities, family wounds, and parental conflicts; I offer a safe space for members of the LGBTQA+ community. My modalities utilize educating clients about the mind and body connection, healing attachment wounds, and transitioning thoughts into the present. I help you achieve this in a variety of ways using evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions specific to you, and I will help you feel safe in doing so by providing a relaxed, comforting environment.

I am grateful to be a part of the Healthy Strides team, as the focus here is all about balance and being healthy! For me, that means being outdoors and spending time with family as much as possible when I am not working. I love to kayak, camp, and hike, and am often found outside somewhere in nature exploring with my family. If I am not seeking healing outside, I am exploring movement through yoga. My goal over the next few years is to obtain my RYT 200 to share the benefits of yoga with others. I find my practice can be beneficial to my clients in other ways, and my own self-care helps me make you my priority! I welcome your presence, and I look forward to being with you on your journey!
